DNC Candidates Forum
Sunday, January 12, 2020, 3 – 5 PM (doors open 2:30 PM)
Santa Monica Public Library, 601 SM Blvd., MLK Auditorium
In March, the California Democratic Party will select local activists from around the state to represent us at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for the next four years. DNC members have a say in party rules and decisions, including the selection of our presidential nominee.
To ensure that these DNC members best represent the values of local Dem clubs, the Santa Monica Democratic Club is hosting a DNC Forum this Sunday, January 12. SMDC is thrilled to be joined in sponsoring this event by many of our neighboring clubs from throughout the region: Culver City Democratic Club, Heart of L.A. Democratic Club, Malibu Democratic Club, Miracle Mile Democratic Club, PPDC — Pacific Palisades Democratic Club, Stonewall Democratic Club, West L.A. Democratic Club, Westchester-Playa Democratic Club, and the Westside Democratic Headquarters.
The event will be held at the MLK Auditorium in the Santa Monica Library. Doors will open at 2:30 PM, and the program will run from 3 – 5 PM.
The event will be moderated by David Dayen, Executive Editor of The American Prospect; contributor at The Intercept, The Nation, and countless others; and longtime member of many of our Democratic clubs.
All are welcome but we especially extend an invitation to voting members of the state party's Executive Board. We will reserve seats for all such E-Board members at the front of the auditorium.
